So, regular dental care helps to identify problems when they're still small. We can change your habits, we can change your diet, we can help you modify what you're doing to limit a problem.
We're able to identify problems when they're small and manageable before they become big and unmanageable.

So we try and provide many services under one roof to make it convenient for our patients. I particularly enjoy oral surgery, so I did a lot of that in the office. Patients really appreciate that because it means they can have the treatment done closer to home. I don't have to refer them out to a specialist always, necessarily, and it's more convenient for them. We also do a lot of restorative dentistry, which means we build up teeth back to their original healthy state. Restorative dentistry will include things like cosmetic or bonded fillings, crowns, veneers. So we do all of that as well, and we also offer orthodontics and implant dentistry. So we offer a really good range of services at our office.
Bacteria in your mouth can become plaque over time, and that plaque can harden into tartar. Tartar can be removed only by a professional teeth cleaning. Even if you brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily, your dental hygienist can remove bits of tartar from spots you may have missed.
It is recommended that patients see a Winnipeg, MB dentist every six months for a teeth cleaning and dental exam. Some patients might have ongoing oral health issues that require more frequent visits.
During your dental exam, we can take digital X-rays, conduct an oral cancer screening, and follow up on your general oral health and comfort.
Ask About Preventive Treatments & Nutritional Counseling
We encourage our patients to follow their teeth cleaning with a fluoride treatment or varnish. Fluoride is a mineral that is proven to strengthen teeth against tooth decay.
Lakewood Dental Centre in Winnipeg, MB can also help you care for your teeth through nutritional counseling. Learn how what you eat can benefit your teeth and gums or negatively affect their health.
Heal Your Gums With Nonsurgical Gum Disease Treatment
It’s possible to have gum disease and not even know it. But if your gums are sore or bleeding, or if your teeth are unusually sensitive, be sure to address these issues with your dentist. Your dentist can catch gum disease early through regular exams and begin treating it quickly.
Treat Underlying Causes of Dry Mouth & Bad Breath
A lack of saliva is uncomfortable and can cause dental problems too, as saliva helps fight decay. If you suffer from dry mouth and/or bad breath (halitosis), our dentists will work with you to identify any underlying medical causes. In some cases, prescription medication causes or intensifies dry mouth, so it may merit a discussion with your physician. We can also suggest products like mouthwashes to alleviate symptoms.
